Living Courageously!
Today I was inspired by Richard Burdick's message and thought I'd share some of my notes from his talk with you today. The sub-title was "If you want to walk on water, you have to get out of the boat!" If you don't know Richard or want more information, just email me at Donna@stottcoaching.com
Points I wrote down:
1. Are you going to do what it takes to manifest your dreams? Do you know what your dreams are? If your knees aren't knocking together, your dream probably isn't BIG enough!
2. Do you know "what it takes"? Have you clearly defined a plan?
3. What larger thing are you being called to do? And if you do hear a voice... a calling... How do we know if the "voice" is from a higher power, or from our own ego? Tip: If you've practiced a relationship with that "voice", then you KNOW. Are you spending time developing that relationship?
4. What are you willing to give or give up? Old farming analogy: If you want the kernel... you have to break the hull! Chick and egg. Butterfly and cocoon... the list goes on an on...
5. What is the FEAR in your journey? Can you move past it? Around it? Through it? Over it? Under it? -- Richard mentioned a book I love and will add to my recommended books called: Love is letting go of Fear. An easy read and the author Jerry, Jampolski, is a really nice guy who lived near us in Kailua in Hawaii.
6. What are you focusing on? The FEAR, or the DREAM? That which we focus on will expand and grow! Remember that! Spend sometime FOCUSING on the DREAM every day!
7. There are going to be mistakes. A person that makes no mistakes makes nothing at all!
8. Don't be a SPUD. (Another word for couch potato, right?) SPUD stands for Spiritual Person with Unrealized Destiny!
9. Don't forget if you sit (or lie) too long in one place, you WILL end up with spiritual bedsores! You have to get up! Get moving! Someone needs YOU! DO SOMETHING!
10. The most often used phrase in the Bible is "Fear Not".... Let go of your fear and LIVE COURAGEOUSLY!
Have a GREAT day!
